Biography:


* 1972 in Big Indian (Catskills, New York, USA). Nowadays she lives in Montreal, Canada. Her father is originally from Mexico & her mother is jewish US-American. As a child she was traveling through USA and Mexico with her family with a bus for 7 years. That time of "nomadism" without school and TV, but with many books and mostly important with music influenced her creativity and thinkings.
When she was 13 years old she had her first gig in a small Cafeshop in San Francisco. In 1991 she got to know Yves Desrosiers, the producer of her first album La Llorona. Those 11 songs characterically stand for a melancholic beautiness, a intensive and emotional voice & a view selected instruments; all songs are in Spanish. Next to her own songs, she also interprets songs from Victor Jara & Violeta Parra.
Often she is compared to the musician Lila Downs. For some years she was living in France, there she was creating a new kind of circus together with her sisters: Pocheros. In Marseille she wrote the biggest part of her second album The Living Road, on which she sings in English, French and Spanish.
